Which calculator should I use?

If you're an owner thinking about selling, start with the SDE calculator — almost every Canadian small business is priced as a multiple of seller's discretionary earnings, so that number drives everything else. Once you have it, run the business valuation calculator to see a realistic asking-price range.

If you're buying, start with the affordability calculator to set your price ceiling, then use the down payment calculator and the business loan calculator to see the cash you need up front and what the debt costs each month.

Found a specific business? Run it through the ROI & payback calculator to check the price against its cash flow. When you're ready, compare Canadian lenders or browse businesses for sale.

Structuring a specific offer? The DSCR calculator shows whether the cash flow carries the debt, the seller financing calculator models a vendor take-back, and the working capital calculator tells you how much operating cash you need on top of the price.
