1. Who we are
BizListings.ca ("BizListings", "we", "us") operates a free marketplace that connects people buying and selling small businesses in Canada, along with related lenders and advisors. By using the site you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your province and capable of entering a binding contract. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
3. Listings, lenders, and advisors
We do not verify every listing, lender, or advisor on the platform. Information is provided by third parties and shown "as-is". You're responsible for your own due diligence before making any offer, signing an NDA, transferring funds, or sharing sensitive information.
4. NDAs and confidential information
Documents released under an NDA on the platform are governed by the terms of that NDA. BizListings is not a party to NDAs between buyers and sellers and takes no responsibility for breaches by either side.
5. Prohibited use
You may not: post false or misleading listings, scrape or harvest user data, send unsolicited bulk messages, attempt to deanonymize sellers, circumvent rate limits, or use the platform for anything illegal under Canadian or provincial law.
6. No financial, legal, or tax advice
Content on BizListings is for informational purposes only. We are not a broker, lawyer, accountant, or financial advisor. Always retain qualified professionals before closing a transaction.
7. Fees
Listing on BizListings is free today. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with reasonable notice. Lender and advisor placements may be paid; paid placements are labelled.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BizListings will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue arising from your use of the platform.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
